Prior to forming Henderson Gunnerson LLC, Nick spent just under a decade working for a top 40, national public accounting firm. There, he was introduced to the world of tax credit financing and played a significant role in the firm’s tax credit advisory practice where he focused on financial forecasting and consulting. During his tenure, Nick worked with project sponsors, institutional investors, and community development entities to close on funding for more than 75 real estate projects, financed in part by New Markets Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and Renewable Energy Tax Credits.

In addition to consulting on tax credit transactions, Nick also worked in the firm’s assurance and tax practices, performing audits of non-public companies and preparing tax returns for partnerships, C-corporations, and non-profits. He also worked extensively on cost certification audits for real estate developments and agreed-upon procedures engagements.

Nick loves technology, and is constantly searching for ways to bring his technical expertise to his clients’ unique situations.

Nick received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Portland State University. He has been licensed in the state of Oregon as a Certified Public Accountant since 2015.
